Marine Guards Play Santa Claus

To mark the holiday season, employees of Embassy Sarajevo donated hundreds of new toys for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's annual toy drive, Toys For Tots.  Embassy Sarajevo's Marine guards organized the effort and delivered 400-some gifts on Thursday, December 30, to a group home for the developmentally disabled in Pazaric, a small town near Sarajevo.

The gift-giving delegation was led by Cpl. Karl Toutpuissant (left side, wearing the black cap) and Cpl. Sommerville Atily (right side, black jacket).  Both of these Marines call Miami, Florida home. Residents at the group home in Pazaric were thrilled to receive the gifts and to visit with the Marines. It was clear from their smiles that the Marines also enjoyed the visit.

The men and women who live at the home in Pazaric celebrated the occasion with a holiday pageant.  We're proud of our Marine Guards for their work with Toys for Tots.  We hope their efforts will make the New Year a bit brighter for our neighbors.
